Finished Deck

Well, I figured one last blog about the deck, since y'all didn't get to see the finished product. Sit back and enjoy all the pics today! :D

First of all, let me show you before and after shots so you can truly understand how horridly FUGLY our first deck was.

UNDERNEATH DECK WITH SPA:

~*~*~*~

The white gutter and the smokey corrugated "ceiling" you see is our waterproofing. You see, in case you didn't know, it rains a LOT in Oregon. (duh!) And who wants to be relaxing in the spa and feel "drip drip" from the rain on your head? Might work for Eddie Rabbit, but not for the Goingses. So the rain collects in the corrugated roofing and drains in the gutter. :) The only reason the porch is wet in the pic with the chairs is because the deck guys had *just* washed the outside of the deck before they left.

And there you have it, folks. Our lovely new deck. This summer's gonna RULE!!

LOL Denise, come on down!! :D Spa's big enough for six people. Hehehe...

And thanks, Lees! It's so beeyooteeful. I just have to go out there and look at it in awe sometimes. It doesn't wobble like the old deck did! LOL Thank goodness...

We just put up some hanging string lamps all around the bottom of our deck, plugged into the lightswitch! Open the back door, turn on the switch, and voila, instant lighting. And because of the lattice, the light isn't bright at nighttime, so we won't disturb our neighbors. AWESOME!! :D
